Heart diseases including congenital heart diseases (such as ASD, VSD, PDA, aortic coarctation), acute joint rheumatism, heart failure, cardiomyopathy (heart muscle disease), myocarditis and endocarditis (heart infections), arrhythmia (rhythm disorder), Kawasaki disease, pulmonary hypertension (high pressure in the vessels of the lungs) and chief complaints such as murmur, cyanosis (bruising), chest pain, palpitations, syncope (fainting) are diganosed and treated in this clinic. Children with heart diseases are evaluated by physical examination, electrocardiogram (ECG), echocardiography (EKO), Holter, head-up tilt (inclined table) ,Treadmill exercise tests, heart catheterization and angiography studies. The transcatheter method (angiography- which is used to close the defects in the heart and vascular openings -ASD, VSD, PDA), balloon valvuloplasty and angioplasty (expansion of the valve and vascular stenosis), stent placement, balloon atrial septostomy are among the procedures that are implemented in this clinic. Women with high risk pregnancy are evaluated by fetal echocardiography.
