Treatment and follow-up of diseases such as anemia, bone marrow insufficiencies, neutropenias, thrombocytopenias, bleeding problems, thrombosis, myelodysplastic syndrome, hemangiomas, leukemias and other childhood malignancies (lymphomas, neuroblastomas, Wilms tumors, rhabdomyosarcomas and brain tumors) in the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department.

An Oncology Council for the treatment and follow-up decisions of cancer patients and a Hemophilica Council for the treatment and follow-up of hemophilia patients with joint disease are gathered routinely. Health services are provided in seperate Pediatric Hematology and Oncology polyclinics, an outpatient chemotherapy unit, a transfusion unit and an 11-bed Pediatric Hematology and Oncolocy clinic via our experienced subspecialists, nurses and health personnel.

We have a playroom and a reading room for children to spend time under teacher supervision and a meeting room for scientific activities. Bone marrow aspirations and biopsies, lumbar punctures, exchange transfusions and chemotherapy are performed in our clinics. Preparations for our bone marrow transplant unit are almost over.
